Falling Whistles shop

Falling Whistles is a campaign for peace in Congo.  We sell the whistle as a symbol of protest and ask individuals to be whistleblowers for peace.  

We began with a small story inside our world's deadliest war; a single story of a single day.  We learned of children sent to the frontlines, armed with only a whistle.  That story birthed our symbol and was forwarded around the world to readers who wrote back asking - what can we do?  How can we help?  We have been working to answer their questions ever since.

We started with no home, no office and no plan - just $5 and a dream worth our everything.  One of our co-founders then hitchhiked for 4 months from Austin to New York City stopping in living rooms and coffee shops asking individuals to join us in pursuing peace. He inspired 3 college students who rode their bikes from Miami to San Diego asking individuals to do the same.  We pulled desks out of dumpsters, put them in our a garage, and launched a campaign toward a goal most called impossible - peace in Congo. 

Three years later we are investing in 7 Congolese visionaries working with 600 war-affected women and children. And today the coalition for peace in Congo includes 40,000 whistleblowers, 200 retailers, 35 Congressmen and 16 Senators.
